About the Author
The late Dr. Jesse Lyman Hurlbut (1843-1930) was an American clergyman who devoted much of his time, skill and effort to Biblical research and making the Bible accessible to young and old alike. He was born in New York City, graduated from Wesleyan University, and served several congregations in New Jersey during his career. He authored numerous books as well as Sunday school lesson plans.
